I love you, Mommy. But...

Megan was talking about how I was the best Mommy ever today.  We're sort of a mutual admiration society sometimes because I just think she is the best kid ever.  But today, she was showering me with accolades and then added the ever dreaded "but".   I braced myself for what came next, for surely it was something I did to disappoint her.

"I love you, Mommy.  But, I wish you did tricks."

Suspiciously, I asked what kind of tricks and visions of magic card tricks and pulling bunnies from top hats floated through my head.

"I wish you did tricks like headstands, dancing on your butt and you hopped like a kangaroo."

Phew!  I'll get right on that kid.

  1. Throw her a bone and do a somersault or cartwheel! :)
