A Magical Mermaid Undersea Birthday!

A fifth birthday is a milestone!  So this year had to be special.  Not that all her birthdays aren't special, but this one had to be a little more special.  Megan wanted a Mermaid Party this year.  She is obsessed with the Barbie In A Mermaid Tale series and knows all the songs and it's the first aisle she runs to in the Target toy section.  :)

Kids were served Peanut Butter & Jellyfish sandwiches, Cheesy Sea Snails, Schools of Goldfish, Mini Sponges (Corn cheese puffs)
Fruits of the sea, Poseidon's Punch.

The adults had a full lunch served upstairs complete with my special Sangria. :) Many thanks to Melysa's DH for making his special Spanish pork. It was sooo good!

The Treasure Trove

Favor bags - Favors included a small bottle of "Life is the Bubbles" Bubble bath, a bath pouf and a Mermaid cookie. (plus the craft)

The Mermaid's Mirror - Each Mermaid that came in had her choice of bracelet, Mermaid hair, tattoo and was finished off with Special Mermaid magic so they could breathe under the sea. (glitter spray in their hair) Each Pirate was offered a hat, eyepatch, mustache and was also offered the "magic".

After lunch, we made Magical Mermaid Wish Bottles






Then Megan put the Magical Shark's teeth in each bottle so their wishes would come true. (The bottles glow in the dark!)




We had a Limbo Dance off!



And the pinata. This fish was a toughie!
